ONE&ONLY PALMILLA

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE 2023

Elizabeth Sutton, talented NYC-based artist and designer, has debuted her first-ever Artist In Residence at the One&Only Palmilla property in Mexico in April 2023. This marks her third international art exhibition, and it is a stunning display of her creativity and artistry. The exhibition featured seven fine artworks, two exclusive limited edition prints, and a range of art activations for guests to enjoy.

FINE ART CUSTOM COMMISSION

One of the main attractions of the exhibition was Elizabeth's live painting of a custom commission for the One&Only Palmilla based on a photograph she took while staying at the property. The painting captures the iconic Mexican tile and architecture of the One&Only Palmilla resort, showcasing Elizabeth's masterful use of pattern and bold colors to create a breathtaking piece of art that emphasizes depth and perspective. On the opening night of the exhibition, guests had the opportunity to meet Elizabeth and attend a reception hosted by the One&Only Palmilla. 

Additionally, Elizabeth created a range of fun activities for guests and their children, including a sand art project at the One&Only Kid's Club and exclusive coloring books and placemats featuring nostalgic elements of the One&Only property. Guests can purchase Elizabeth's fashion accessories and limited edition prints at the resort's boutique.
